"The Counterfeiters" is a movie based on a memoir written by Adolf Burger recalling events on a concentration camp, during the Second World War.

Although the movie is most of the time boring, the storyline itself is interesting and very simple; Salomon 'Sally' Sorowitsch, the king of counterfeiters, known by the forging of documents and others, is arrested by the Nazis and taken to a concentration camp to forge bank notes. A Jew working with him, decides to sabotage the Nazi's secret plan to flood the British economy with forged bank notes.

"It takes a clever man to make money, it takes a genius to stay alive"

It's another WWII movie earning an Oscar (Best Foreign Language Film of the Year), in my opinion, it's very far from the best movies concerning WWII, but it's worth watching, not for the entertainment (because it's not very entertaining) but instead for the gathering of information on this theme for those who like it!
