If I only knew then what I know now...
Had I been an out and proud young lad when this movie was released in 2006, I would have LOVED it. Heck, if I had been an out and proud young lad in 1987 when "The Lost Boys" came out, I would have loved it. (Wait, I did love it. I just wasn't out and proud quite yet. Nor was I exactly a young lad.)
My point is that since I am now 45 years old, I feel a little creepy oogling over the hot young boys of the east coast prep school, one of whom is about to "ascend" and receive his full warlock powers on his 18th birthday. My apprehension towards the beauty of the cast causes me to be a little more critical about other aspects of the movie such as plot, dialogue and direction.
That said, I'm not completely invincible toward the charms of "The Covenant" and probably like it more than a grown man should.
Skin Rating = 4 (out of 4). Read the above. Add the fact that the boys are swimmers. Enough said!
