Great reenactment of the Gettysburg fight

Wow!!! That was probably the best movie aside from '89's 'Glory' i have seen as of yet on the US Civil War!!! Outstanding battel sequences with the end battle at Gettysburg shown with explicit detail. The only thing missing was the gore sorry if i sound demented however...war is it what it is...hell and when bullets hit you, it's quite simple you bleed. Great cast in this with Tom Berenger, Martin Sheen, C. Thomas Howell and last but not least Jeff Daniels who i'm not a fan of to say the least however he did a pretty good job delivering his version of Col. Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain.
The re-enactment of the battle at Gettysburg was nothiing short of stellar as the director gives us back ground strategic moves by the different sides that is rare in war films. If you are a history buff as i am better free up some time say....4hrs and 30 mins to be exact remember this originally showed on tv as a two parter. I found it goes by quickly if you take interest in this sorta thing as i do.
