I always have those guilty pleasure kids films that I wanted to hate but I just can't.
Penguins of Madagascar is about the most elite, covert birds in the business, led by Agent Classified, must join forces with the elite, underground organization known at The North Wind in order to bring down Dr. Octavius Brine - a villain bent on the world's destruction.
They always come a time where I see a trailer to a kids film thinking to my self "Wow that is so for kids and not for me", but when I shamefully do check them out just to be on the save side of things, it turns out that I enjoyed it and normally I don't want to enjoy films like this because it's a kids film with kid humor and such more. Maybe it's the animation that I enjoyed, or maybe it's the penguins or maybe I just like enjoyable films and I can't believe I'm going to say this but.... I like this movie.
The movie is harmless, cute, has pretty animation and surprising not stupid as most kids films are today. The Penguins are funny as always and so is the other talking animals in the film. Some Jokes may be a hit or miss but at least creators tried of what they got.
For problems I do have is the main the villain. He wasn't terrible or anything, it's just that his just a bland villain to me. The other talking animals one of them played by Benedict Cumberbatch, I didn't really think they where needed in the film to be honest, they where there just to fill in gaps in the movie.
Overall Penguins of Madagascar in my opinion isn't all that bad. Great animation, good voice acting and a kids movie that I can say was good.
