There are many movies in this roundtable vien. The godfather of them, Pulp Fiction, works and a few other imitators, like Go, work as well. The oddity within 11:14 is that objects are more interesting than the characters. For example, a bowling ball. That three word description is deeper than nearly all the characters. They are grungy losers, which can work in the right context, but here they are simply burdensome and tiring.
