Indignation

Beautiful

Romance movies can be overly comical, or they can be something special. This special type of movie was already created through the release of Brooklyn in 2015. Think of Indignation as a slightly edgier version of Brooklyn. Don't get me wrong, they are not the same; Indignation has its own unique touch to special cinematic brilliance.
We are introduced to a Jewish college freshman, Marcus, whose parents are overly concerned and troubled by his long distance relationship. Sounds familiar, I know, many people experience this in life, both university students and their parents alike. A slightly older girl goes out on a date with Marcus and does some interesting stuff with him afterward. Marcus is absolutely shocked, but flattered.
Now, to finally get my opinion out, this film really makes you feel for every characters situation in an awesome way. This is due to brilliant directing by James Schamus, and stand-out acting by the entire cast of characters. Also the dialogue in every scene is absolutely stunning, as if I am rapidly gaining points of IQ as I am continuing to watch it. Scenes of great dialogue can last so long that it just gets more intriguing as the scene goes on. My favorite conflict in this film is by far the psychological conflict between the dean of the university and Marcus. It is so intense to see these two men argue in such a subtle but extreme manner.
Indignation is a must see, and it is one of my favorites of the year, so do yourself a favor and go see it because it really deserves your support!
