I actually find this to be the best of the Christopher Reeve "Superman" films. Granted, the fight scenes appear a little dated, but the story was tight and it hit all the right emotional notes.
Some of the fight scenes look a little hap-hazard because of product placement issue. In particular, the makers of Marlboro actually got some creative control over the finished film to include scenes of a Marlboro truck during the fight between Superman and the three supervillains.
