Dead On Arrival

I had to pick this up eventually because I have the first film already and I'm a sucker for anything with zombies. This takes the found-footage genre that is so popular and follows a military group (and one straggler) as they attempt to make it to the coast to escape Great Britain. Both story and execution are simply adequate. If you've seen the first film in this series, you know that the people who survived this zombie plague are often worse than the zombies themselves. Once again, we find a group of messed-up survivors who seem to think that rape and murder are just the ticket following the dead rising and wiping out most of humanity. But whereas the first time around it was unexpected, this time it just feels like a cop out. Point is, unless you like zombie movies as much as I do, you can probably skip this one and even if you're a huge fan, there isn't much to get excited about here. I did like the end, though - a nice coda that really sums up a zombie Apocalypse.
Still, it wasn't worth sitting through the rest of the rather bland material for that payoff.
