Not every superhero movie has a hero, I really don't even know if Hancock is one. He's the type you would loved to hate and call ***hole. Yes he fights crime but in an unorthodox fashion. The save lives but destroy everything that comes in the way fashion. He’s drunk, belligerent and downright a self destructing prick with superpowers. But why would anyone want to like him, maybe because deep down he is really just normal like every one of us. And he wants to be loved like normal people do. I wasn’t sure what was really the theme for Hancock, if it’s a superhero movie or is it a love story with a purpose. The character of Will Smith is definitely unlikeable but he playing it gave the audience a suggestion of why not. He really gave Hancock a heart that no one else could give. Yes the story is not what everyone is expecting but overall it succeeded in giving justice to everything the main character stands for. Although there are little holes in the history of how everything began but you can say it’s insignificant. The effects were superb, I wished Spiderman could look that real. Charlize is nothing but sexy, definitely one to look forward to. So the question now on everyone’s mind is “is this watchable” the answer is yes, but I do have a simple warning to all. Expect that he’s no Superman people.
