Unique Tale

At first, I thought that The Night Listener would be a heart-wrenching thriller, but the drama takes up more the story than any scary part of the movie. Normally, I wouldn't watch a movie with drama, but sometimes the surprises in film make the movie so much better.
The story was believable, and a bit sad. The main character is a man named Gabriel Noone, who is played by Robin Williams. Noone is struggling with relationships in his world while staring a relationship with Pete, a 14 year old boy, over the phone. This idea is unique, and I liked the idea from the beginning of the film. Plus the way the story evolved through the film really felt realistic to me, almost to the point where I thought I was there along side Noone, experiencing these things for myself.
The characters, as well as the acting, through The Night Listener seemed very realistic. I watched as the characters grew and developed over the film, and I connected some of those characters with real life experiences that I had. As the characters developed, I became attached, and the end of the movie left me in tears.
The Night Listener is good for people that are looking for a drama movie with a unique, dark twist.
