Generally a good film with decent narrative, direction and performances. The build up was smooth that everything seems to come up just right on time. I appreciate the simplicity of shots that it did not try to be an EPIC film, instead, just stick to the bravery and character development of these men. At first, I could not see artistry on how this film was shot, but as the movie continues, those aerial shots and the visual of running deer and bear in flame were really powerful. Although it is really hard to ignore Miles Teller's rawness among the pool of talented and veteran actors (Jennifer Connelly, Josh Brolin, Jeff Bridges, and many others), I would say Teller did enough to generate some emotion. This is definitely inspiring and moving. The subject was definitely worth the efforts of the filmmakers.
