On May 7, 2010, Iron Man 2 was released by Paramount Studios. This motion picture is an slightly action packed family movie that portrays the usage of a modern-aged, armored suited hero and potential "weapon of mass destruction". In the movie,Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), the protagonist, plays the Iron Man as carried from the first feature released in 2008. Starring alongside Downey, the antagonists, are Don Cheadle, Ivan Vanko(both having a armored suits of their own) and of course the U.S. military with their overwhelming demands for the heavily cladded suit and its technology; in addition to the life threatening device lodged into his weakening chest. Now that Robert Downey Jr. has reveled himself as the Iron Man, he faces new adversaries and old ones. The plot is plain and simple, he is faced with many calamities, he must "save the day" and himself, all of which he succeeds-your typical "red-capped, spandex wearing" hero. Compared to the first movie, plot is much more basic as well as the action scenes, although there are a few exceptions, and from rising action to the climax the information could become deluging.
Overall, the standards set for this movie were a bit to high. On the other hand, this is a movie the whole family can enjoy because of the minimum violence, which younger audiences enjoy, and the real world situations and love scenes that more mature audiences would appreciate. Although this isn't the best movie, there is one line stated by Downey that is wise and memorable," To turn over the Iron Man suit, would be to turn over myself...", and although this movie is fictional, Robert Downey Jr.'s character stood for every brave person who sought to defeat injustice and the mismanagement of technology.
