The Often Forgotten Worthy Sequel

This sequel is greatly under appreciated. It's got a couple of minor flaws in the fact that a couple of the side voice actors sound too different than the ones from the first movie and the animation isn't as pretty. But this can be forgiven simply because they can't always get people to return to reprise their roles and being a sequel to an animation it's likely going to have smaller production (going straight to video). The storyline is sound and flows along very well picking up where the first one leaves off. The new main villian(ess) is very convincing and would very much seem like the preferred mate of Scar, it's also fairly certain that there would have been other lions in The Pride that would have sided with Scar, he was a very charismatic leader if anything. The sequel also brings in probably my second favorite character in the storyline (below Scar) Kovu and my favorite song in the series "We Are One".
I know animated sequels usually aren't worth the time but this is one occasion where the sequel is a worthy successor to the original film. I find it sad that most overlook this one. At one point during the VHS days I had even edited the first and second movie seamlessly together and would watch it as one epic 3 hour movie. Great stuff.
