Strong sense of atmosphere and good performances make it worth staying the course, though ultimately it's too derivative a take on the 'hitcher' genre. The scenes between Taylor the sociopath and fickle Sophie needed to be a lot more lurid to give it an edge. There's no obvious motivation for either character so the end result appears schematic, and bland with it.
