Time after time

Vincent Ward's previous film, The Navigators, broached the subject of time travel but compared to this it barely left first base. Starting off in the Arctic circle and continuing via Dresden and the Albert Hall, this romantic drama is as heartbreaking as it is breathtaking. Jason Scott Lee and Anna Parillaud are superb as the couple separated only by time. Ward manages to keep things real, when patently they are not.
