The whip, belonging to Christopher Lee, frequently comes into contact with the body of the lovely Dahlia Lavi, not that she objects too much. The art direction and photography are as classy as you'd expect from Mario Bava, but the story is as creaky as the old house in which it is set. Strangely, on the version I saw the Italian names on the credits had been replaced by fictitious American ones.
