Too many bitches at the wedding!

Dunst follows up her award winning performance in Melancholia with yet another film revolving around a wedding. And even if this film doesn't involve the impending end of our planet, the wedding and its proceeds prove to be just as disastrous. I tend to have a liking for films dealing with potentially unlikable characters (or Noah Baumbach's entire filmography) and while many may not be able to tolerate these women, damn if they aren't entertaining to watch. For one it has a great cast, along with Dunst, there is the always lovely Lizzy Caplan, finally given a juicy role she deserves and knocks out of the park. Isla Fisher, funny and flighty as always. As well as Adam Scott and James Marsden, the former great, the latter quite one-note. Rebel Wilson, whom I loved in Bridesmaids, is wasted here, but she still has her moments to shine. This is a true bitch fest, filled with cutting dialogue, outrageous situations, and great performances from the three female leads. It's no Bridesmaids, but I say that in the best possible way. It's a funny trainwreck that I highly enjoyed. (R- strong sexual content including dialogue, language, and drug use.)
