The Last Stand review

Sheriff Ray Owens (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is on a day off. Dangerous wealthy criminal Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega) escapes and is headed to Ray's town. Light plot, lacks character development and a simple screenplay. Soundtrack was not that effective, though having Forest Whitaker brings-up the acting level. The strengths of the film would be the shoot-out, some minor humor and seeing good old Arny trying to come-up with catchy lines, which in this case falls short and flat. Build-up for the antagonist was good, if only we knew more about him, same goes for the fantastic Sheriff. Not all that bad, The Last Stand is a welcome action picture where Arnold can go back to his roots and maybe score another T2 quality like movie that people would remember him by.
