Unnecessary and generic.

I hate this movie not because I am a man or because I have two well-functioning brain halves, but because it's just BAD filmmaking.
There are so many reasons to hate this movie. It has gained notoriety as being the most hated movie by boys and most loved by girls (not all).
If you're going to make a romance, do it right. Nobody wants to see a bad romance, it's just awkward.
The actors in this film have zero chemistry. I cannot buy into the fact that Bella and Edward are in love. They look more afraid of each other than soul mates.
Vampires are a very good genre for a film. A vampire romance has been done before by Francis Ford Coppola, showing his take on Dracula in his eponymous 1992 film.
This movie leaves a stain on that genre by introducing the most wooden actor ever to play …

I Heard the Book Was Better...

Well, after being forced reluctantly by some friends into watching this movie, I gave in. It might effect the review, the fact that I was surrounded by oggling, drooling, dumb-founded fangirls through-out the whole movie that is. But I'll give you my opinions anyway.
Now, I have never been a fan of the books, I noticed the book of this came out years back, and now the fangirls have only just been catching on. I myself, have always read books such as 'I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, Dexter, Shogun, and the Resident Evil series' and so, I think you may get it when I say 'Twilight' isn't really my thing. So, I can't help but review the movie without help from knowing every fact from the book. Sorry.
So anyway, the movie starts with us meeting Bella, played by Kristen Stewart, she …

Twilight, a Mr. E Movie Review
(Run time: 122 min. - Directed by: Catherine Hardwicke - Starring: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner)
I told myself 1. I wasn't going to ever watch Twilight the movie and thus 2. I would never have to review Twilight the movie. BUT, after hanging with a group of my friends, most of which happen to be girls that night, they insisted, know I wrote reviews for movies, I see it after they found out I was the only one not to see it. I tried to resist my prejudices about the films genre that was focused on tween girls but they over powered me. Now, after seeing the movie I have to admit...I liked it.
The story is about a girl named Bella, played by Kristen Stewart, who moves to Forks, Washington to live with her Dad. There she meets …

twilight rocks my world

When this movie came out i had not heard all the hype and not read the books, the trailer looked ok so i went to see it. Although the story line, effects and acting are nothing groundbreaking i was soon swept up with the story and wanted to go straight back in and watch it. I got home and ordered the books off of the internet, which are obviously written for a younger reader, and even though Meyer's writing is not the best in the world, the story completley absorbed me. I still cannot say what it is about these books or the film that i like so much, but i can't get enough. I am addicted to twilight, and i have to say the casting for the film is perfect, also the soundtrack is one of the best for years. I hope New Moon can live up to it's predicessor.

Twilight

I went to see this movie about 2 weeks after it came out. At first when I heard about it, I did not think I would like it very much. Then when everyone was saying it wasn't that great I still wanted to see it for myself. After seeing the movie I had a new obbsession that was born. I really did not think the movie was horrible at all! I thought it was great; after seeing the movie I just had to read the books, the books were phenomenal and I really hope Stephenie Meyer comes out with a 5th book of some sort. Some say the movie did not cover enough of what happend in the book, but I read the book about 2 weeks after and I thought the movie was almost right on to what happend in the book. Obviously you cannot cover every detail in a book otherwise the movie would be far to long and …

Twilight is very dim entertainment.

Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), a junior in high school and the victim of divorced parents who live across the country from each other, moves to the Pacific Northwest town of Forks to live with her father (Billy Burke), the Chief of Police. Being the new arrival in town, she sparks immediate interest from the rest of the students at school and quickly makes a bunch of new friends. Bella is a rather shy, almost awkward teenager (like most are), but her good looks make her the object of affection for the near anti-social gothic hunk Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) who looks like he could eat her alive. As it turns out, he’s actually a vampire.
The basic premise of the movie has very little backbone: a human and a vampire fall in love, and at about 80% into the film, a pack of …

Twilight does not do justice for the books
Red Rose - wrote on 01/20/2009
Lets begin with this, I'm a big twilight fan i love the books so much. I've got the four books plus the books they released just for the movie with the poster on the cover. I also bought the Film Fantasy magazine that was dedicated to the movie. The books give you so much to imagine about and loss yourself in. The story was deep and had so many twists and turns in the book. When i first saw the Trailer for the movie I was terrified and scared with who the casted in the movie. When i saw Edward was going to be played by Robert Pattinson the first thing that struck me was "Harry Potter" i know its the wrong thing to do but to me and to some hardcore fans to the book we agree that he did not match edward. If you type Edward cullen up on a search site before the movie you saw people …

I really enjoyed this movie because I've read the book. I think the movie stayed close to the book without being too long. Robert Pattinson (Edward) did an excellent job playing the vampire. Whenever he's on screen, your eyes stay on him. You could see all the emotions he was going through on his face. Kristin Stewart (Bella) had a difficult job with this role. She has to carry every girl's interpetation of Bella out on the screen. When you read the book, you feel everything Bella feels so you think you are her. I didn't think she pulled it off. I couldn't imagine myself as her. The other standout of the cast was Billy Burke (Charlie) who plays Bella's father. I fell in love with the character in the movie (but not in the book) because of the way Billy played him. The scene …

Just don't expect much, and it will be decent

I think what made this movie worthwhile to watch was that I went in expecting it to be terrible. I never really appreciated Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen in the first place. Not that I'm a huge fan of Edward, but Robert Pattinson was a little too hairy to play the part. There were a lot of miscasts. I especially didn't think Rosalie was that pretty at all. The only person who actually fit the character from the novel and looked decent in the role was Alice, and maybe Emmett. Besides the casting, the acting could have been a bit better, too.
But I have to admit that the movie was better made than I'd thought. The forest scenery was beautiful, although the whole Edward-glowing-in-the-sunlight looked wholly ridiculous. The vampires-playing-super-baseball-in-the-rain was pretty cool. …

Lifeless and Cold

It should be said that Twilight almost lives up to the hype everyone seemed to rave about the past few weeks. There were two sides to this movie, the first half provides a more detailed character development. And the second half rendered with all the cheesy parts made me think twice about taking this movie seriously. Because it shows such a completely different point of view about vampires and how they live. I thought to myself the writer of this book is making vampires look bad. Well I did try to like it, but then when last fifteen minutes of film came it ended the movie as quick as possible without me even noticing. Although as I said the first half was very interesting with Bella meeting and falling with Edward, it came to a downward spiral when the absurd scenes came about the …
