Edge Of The Seat suspense.

Halle Berry plays a 911 operator who gets a call from a sixteen year old kidnapped girl (Abigail Breslin) who’s being held in the trunk of a car. Apparently this psycho killer Michael kidnaps girls who remind him of his departed sister. His latest kidnap victim is Casey but what the killer doesn’t realize is that Jordon was in a similar situation before and this time around she will not let the killer get the better of her. There's plenty of murder and mayhem along the way as the police, led by Officer Paul Phillips (Morris Chestnut) frantically try to locate the vehicle. The psycho Michael is very believably played by Canadian actor Michael Eklund and Abigail did a great job as the victim. Edge-of-your-seat suspense that makes me almost forget the implausible plot holes.

The Call review

Jordan Turner (Halle Berry) is a 911 operator assisting Leah (Evie Thompson) since somebody broke into her home. Leah was abducted as reported on the news. Jordan becomes affected after discovering the body was discovered buried naked. Six months pass by after the incident and Jordan teaches new employees. Casey Welson (Abigail Breslin) gets kidnapped and calls 911. Jordana takes a call from Casey. Michael Foster (Michael Eklund) is now being chased. Direction felt Hollywood and making the viewer look dumb. Not sure why they had to reiterate the murder of Leah when in fact we already know since Jordan mentioned it twice and that we have witnessed it already. A strong star fades and fizzles after the second half until the unrealistic and unsatisfying conclusion. It was …

Well i will start this review by saying it's about damn time WWE Studios!!! Being a fan of the wrestling going;s on of the WWE since '85 or so, I as more than skeptical when I heard they were going to branch out their entertainment aspect of the business and start making movies. Being an avid movie buff, I was thinking to myself what the heck? If they have some good films I will be getting the best of both of my fave worlds...That was until i saw my very first WWE Studios produced film starring John Cena The Marine...Bleck!!! This lead to a bunch of completely horrible movies that i still sat through time and time again with hopes of seeing some of my favorite grapplers in co starring roles on the big screen. Paul Levesque aka HHH especially! Hah! His films lead the worst of the …

Boring and Baffling

Very little of this review will be about anything other then the last five minutes of The Call, because that is the only bit of the movie that matters even the slightest bit. Up until that final five minutes I was rather unperturbed by anything that went on on the screen. I was able to predict almost everything else that happened in the movie up to an hour before it happened.

In summary, it was a pretty standard thriller with a potentially interesting premise that is taken nowhere interesting. The key to this sort of movie is unpredictability, to keep the audience entertained they need to be wondering what’s next. This is why I did not love the recent Zero Dark Thirty, because it was a thriller with a conclusion that was common knowledge before the script was even written. Plot …
