A troubled man makes an effort to talk to a woman who repeatedly rents hardcore porn at the video rental store where he works. He turns into part stalker, part healer, as they help each other though their personal issues and deeper troubles that are revealed as the movie plays out. This was alternately watchable and disturbing; the good parts are pretty good, but the main characters are so creepy that you want to call the police on them. Jason Ritter and Marianna Palka both did good jobs, and it's always nice to see Martin Starr and Charles Durning.

I am woman, and I didn't found the movie so romantic as some did - I would rather say, it is movie okay to see, certainly not boring, but proceed with caution and don't expect anything but unusual. It was quite disturbing movie, on so many levels, but if you accept the characters and the story as such, the movie is good, with some really touching moments. We could guess the reason for her weird behaviour, and it is later subtly …

Awkward Romance

"Good Dick" is an independent film that follows a video store clerk in his attempts to get a socially troubled woman to fall in love with him. Their relationship begins when the woman goes into the video store to rent several porn movies. At first, their awkward tension brings laughs, but as the movie progresses, the tension only makes me uncomfortable. When they start watching porn together, I feel awkward to just watch them interact. I felt uncomfortable watching the entire movie.
The best part of "Good Dick" was the scenes when the boy was working at the video rental store, but most of the dialogue that goes on during these scenes has nothing to do with the story. These scenes bring plenty of humor to certain situations, but most of it is meaningless and the movie would be fine, if …
