Plot: Elaine and her family travel to her sister’s isolated house far out on the
country so the two families can spend the Christmas holiday together. The
first day is perfect, but the morning after Elaine’s children starting to

Kind of disturbing subject matter - murderous children doesn't exactly make for a light-hearted affair, but the tension is quite good and I can't fault the actors. Plus, I really liked the dark twist at the end. This is not a movie to go in to lightly, simply because it's pretty punishing, but kudos to Tom Shankland for not pulling any punches and going the distance.

Christmas family nightmare

I didn’t like this movie. This is the first movie in a very long time that I have forced myself to finish watching. Several times I wanted to just turn it off and stop watching it. Family is very dear to me, so this movie hit a nerve. This is a very strong visual and psychological suspense horror movie.
Once that is said, there is no denying that the story and the script are well written. The actors deliver a brilliant performance and the directing is very good. The reason I didn’t like this movie is because it hit a nerve with me, and touched something I don’t want anything to do with. The story is good but it’s about a topic I don’t like. That is why I can say that this was a very good movie and at the same time say that I didn’t like it.
