Shion Sono is an acquired taste for sure - Cold FIsh is like a combination between Straw Dogs and Hostel - at times shocking, depraved and mad - there's nothing quite like it out there. The only problem I had is that all the characters are just unlikable, it was hard to root for anyone. It's bizarre, but a bit of a downer in the end.
