Plot: The production of a play based on the classic horror story Yotsuya Kaidan follows the star, Miyuki Goto, who manages to secure a part for an unknown actor, Kosuke Hasegawa, who is also her lover. If you like your slow-burn horror that promotes atmosphere over jump scares, there is no one better to turn to than Takashi Miike. Over Your Dead Body, much like his classic Audition, takes time to build up, but the payoff it worth it. This is the type of movie that plays head games with you, as you question what is real and what is not - just remember, keep your love life out of your professional life - or the consequences can be truly brutal.
