Black Swan is a Solid Film...
This film was technically solid. The cinematography, camera tracking while the characters are dancing, dramatic at times demonic classical music, great lighting, acting, direction, editing, etc were all above average. However the film doesn't break any new ground in the originality of story department. "Been there, done that." I read so many good reviews that I was expecting a greater wow factor. Thus, I was let down. The hallucinations, and metamorphosis scenes were a nice touch but at times you struggle to figure out what's reality, and what's the psychological inventions. If you enjoy being toyed with, then you'll like it. If you don't like classical music or ballet, then you won't be able to stomach the film. A solid profound film, …
