My favorite horror film from the After Dark Horrorfest series. It has most of the usual J-horror fare I've come to expect, but it's eerie and has enough of a plot to keep things interesting and somewhat fresh. A solid horror film.

This is one of my favourite movies, hence the reason I got it high up on the list on both my top movie and my favourite horror movie list. This movie got all the things that we have learned to love in japanese horror movies. From the opening credits to the very end the movie manage to keep you on your toes, as you never really know what is going on even though you think you do untill the very end.
The plot is about Nagisa Sugiura, a young aspiring actor that lands a role in a horror movie based on a real incident where a man kills 11 people in a hotel including his family before he takes his own life. The movie is partially shot in studio and partially shot in the actual hotel where the killings took place. Nothing can go wrong in this scenario right? In the beginning Nagisa Sugiara …
