The most infamous pornographic film of all time is an interesting watch. It's not as bad as critics led me to believe. I believed in the characters no matter how ludicrous (and odd) they are because you never know what's going to happen next. If you're interested in seeing skin, this is a definite must-see. Otherwise, save yourself the three hours and watch another film.

Caligula - the Ben-Hur of porn movies!

The only reason I can think for people having a …

In Defense of the Dreaded X

Talk about violent pornography - Caligula was so expensive, it took four years and nearly destroyed Penthouse in the process. Yet this is a wholly unique film - the talent involved is amazing considering the subject matter. This is not a great film (mainly due to the choppy editing, cuts and other technical issues) but it is interesting. Sick and perverted, but still interesting none-the-less.
Whoever thought that a historical epic would be better by mixing in some good old fashioned hardcore sex (an orgy here, a lesbian tryst here - oh yeah, that's what we need!) was properly roasted over the coals. Yet Caligula isn't the colossal mistake its made out to be. Nothing like this could be made today. Call me crazy, but if any blockbuster was half as interesting as Caligula, it might …
